Stacie McGregor
Stacie McGregor has established herself amongst the ranks of top jazz pianists in Canada.
"Straight Up", the title of her debut album on G-THREE released in 2004 went on to be charted in the top ten jazz albums charts world wide with the song "Uncle B" being nominated for a International Song Writing Award. On her 2nd album she collaborated with Billy Robinson, a Texas tenor saxophonist who played with Charles Mingus, Archie Shepp, and Freddie Hubbard. They were accompanied by veterans Billy Hart on drums and Curtis Lundy on bass for the album "SWIFT".
Her most recent release "Rhythm, Hart & Soul" features her in a trio setting with Santi DeBriano on bass and Billy Hart on drums with special guests Jim Heineman, Shawn Nykwist and Johnny Johnson.
