The Bentley Collective
“Hero” is the latest release by The Bentley Collective. It’s a song that Brooke Bentley Blackburn wrote during the beginning of the pandemic that was inspired by the events that were taking place in our retirement homes across the country. This song of gratitude is dedicated to those who came before us who have made sacrifices to give us the life we live today in Canada. They are our Heroes!
The Bentley Collective is led by Brooke Bentley Blackburn who is the primary composer & guitar player of the Juno Awards Nominated Rhythm & Blues band, "Blackburn". Playing with the likes of Eugene Smith, his father Bobby Dean Blackburn , Shakura S’Aida and other prominent musicians in the Canadian Blues/Roots scene, Brooke has inherited a writing style that consists of melody, groove and lyrical structure well-rooted in the Blues tradition. The Bentley Collective is the vehicle that allows Brooke to share songs inspired by his personal experiences.
